Kalanchoe plant is a fairly well known with low-maintenance favourite among indoor gardeners. Not only does it have some gorgeous thick, fleshy leaves but it also produces bright, long lasting flowers that just keep coming. And with a wide range of colours - think red, pink, orange, yellow & white - its an absolute must have for anyone who loves a bit of bright, cheerful colour in their home. Plus its a real winner when it comes to being easy to look after. To get the most out of your Kalanchoe really all it needs is a spot with some decent indirect sunlight. The soil should be nice and well-draining too - and dont even think about overwatering it as that will just lead to root rot which is the last thing you want. Stick to watering it only when the top layer of soil feels dry to the touch. One of the things thats really great about the Kalanchoe plant is that it goes on flowering for weeks on end. As long as you give it the basic care & a bit of occasional feeding you should be good to go. Which makes it a brilliant choice for complete newbies to gardening as well as us seasoned home gardeners.
