The cow posture is a calming and restorative yoga pose that supports spinal flexibility and overall body awareness. Practiced on the hands and knees, cow posture involves gently arching the back, lifting the chest, and drawing the shoulders away from the ears while coordinating the movement with a deep inhalation. This posture helps stretch the spine, open the chest and lungs, and relieve stiffness in the neck and lower back. When practiced mindfully, cow posture also stimulates circulation, improves posture, and creates a sense of relaxation, making it an ideal pose for warming up the body and preparing for deeper yoga practices.
