Black vertical lines on monitor screens might be a hardware or connection issue. Check the HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA cable and reconnect it properly. If the lines are still present, use another monitor to trouble-shoot the problem. This can also be done by updating the graphics drivers and changing the screen resolution. If the vertical lines are still present, it may be a problem with the display panel or a problem with an internal component of the monitor.
