There isn’t a single answer to this question because everyone has their own definition of what is the best ngo in India based on what’s important to them. Someone who is passionate about child education will define a great non-profit differently than someone who is passionate about animal welfare. A common characteristic among great organizations is their transparency regarding financial donations and doing real work in the community they serve. Rather than relying on internet sources for a list of organizations, I suggest looking up their annual reports or visiting one of the locations where they operate. Is anyone able to provide personal experiences from their time volunteering at any of the places listed above? I believe volunteering with an organization is the best way to determine the organization’s true impact.
