Been thinking about switching into cyber security this year but honestly there's so much noise online that I can't tell what's real advice and what's just an ad in disguise.A few things I'm trying to figure out:Is ethical hacking actually legal to learn, or is it just a fancy course name? (I know it should be, since companies hire pen testers officially, just want to hear it from people who've actually done it)What does the job look like day to day? Everyone online makes it sound like non-stop "hacking," but I'm guessing it's a lot more monitoring and documentation than that.Do you need a coding background before starting, or can you build that up during the course?And honestly how do you even tell a good institute from one that's just throwing around "100% placement" and "industry expert" on every page?If anyone's actually done a cyber security or ethical hacking course recently (Chandigarh, Mohali, anywhere really), would really appreciate hearing what your experience was like good or bad. Trying to make a decision based on real feedback instead of marketing pages.
