In golf, an eagle and an albatross are both impressive scores, but they are different. An eagle means finishing a hole two strokes under par. For example, scoring 3 on a par-5 is an eagle. An albatross golf, also called a double eagle, is three strokes under par. A common example is scoring 2 on a par-5. Because an albatross is much harder to achieve, it is considered one of the rarest scores in golf.
