I've been getting calls from Overton, Russell, Doerr, and Donovan (ORDD) for a few weeks now, and it's getting out of hand. At first, it was just a few calls, but now they're calling my phone multiple times a day, sometimes as early as 7:30 AM. They even called my workplace once, which really freaked me out.The person on the phone was pretty aggressive and kept hinting at "legal action" if I didn't pay immediately. I looked them up and saw they're a real debt collection law firm in New York, but I'm not even sure the debt is mine. I haven't received anything in writing from them about it yet.Has anyone else dealt with harassment from Overton, Russell, Doerr, and Donovan like this? I found this article explaining what counts as illegal behavior from them: https://protectionforconsumers.com/overton-russell-doerr-and-donovan-debt-collection-harassment/It mentions things like excessive calls and threats are against the law. I'm thinking about sending a cease and desist letter. Any advice on how to handle this?
