Ken Brown fell for letter forms in the sixth grade and turned that love into a career. He hosted Calligraphy for Everyone on public television across more than 100 markets from 1984 to 1996. If you are searching for calligraphy classes, start with his method, which uses a few repeatable strokes anyone can practice. Two soft cover books carry the lessons, the 80 page Calligraphy Handbook and the 56 page Old English Calligraphy Guide. Each costs $28 with shipping.
