I’ve been dealing with Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland for a few weeks now and it’s gotten out of hand. They call my cell multiple times a day, sometimes before 8 AM. The caller uses a really aggressive tone, talks over me, and has even called my coworker trying to get my “verification.”I know I owe a debt, but this feels like harassment. I asked them to stop calling me at work and they did it anyway. I’m not sure what my next move is. Do I send a cease and desist? Is that even the right step here?I found this page that breaks down what counts as harassment and how to fight back, but I wanted to hear from real people first.https://protectionforconsumers.com/combat-professional-bureau-of-collections-debt-collection-harassment/If you’ve dealt with this agency before, how did you get them to back off? Did anyone have luck filing a complaint or getting a lawyer involved?
